Pick a Squad

Accessibility of Pick a Squad

The generator aims for WCAG 2.2 AA-oriented fundamentals while documenting what the interface supports and what still needs manual verification.

Keyboard and focus

Form controls, optional rules, generation, result actions, and navigation are intended to work with a keyboard. Focus remains visible and follows document order rather than jumping into newly generated names.

Labels, errors, and status messages

Visible labels identify inputs and controls. Validation messages explain the setting that needs attention, while a polite status region announces a short result summary instead of reading every name after each change.

Headings, landmarks, lists, and team counts provide structure. Color is not the only way to identify leaders, errors, modes, or state.

Zoom, contrast, motion, and responsive layout

The layout is intended to remain usable at 320 pixels wide and at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling. Text and controls target AA contrast, frequent controls target a comfortable touch area, and focus should not be hidden.

Motion is not necessary to understand or complete the task. Reduced-motion preferences are respected, and generated content does not rely on flashes, sound, or ambient animation.

Exports and printing

Copy and CSV provide alternatives to reading a card grid on screen. Print output uses team headings and a predictable reading order, so the result can be enlarged, projected, saved as PDF, or used on paper.

Clipboard and download behavior depends on browser permissions. If copying fails, the result remains selectable for a manual copy.

Known verification boundary

Automated checks do not establish full accessibility. VoiceOver, NVDA and TalkBack behavior can vary by browser and device. Report a barrier using the contact details in the Terms; do not include participant names.
